About Dot Metrics

Founded in 2003, Dot Metrics Technologies is a new start-up company located in the Charlotte Research Institute at UNC- Charlotte. The company is focused on developing and selling high performance electronic materials and devices to the evolving market of solid-state lighting and photonics. Dot Metrics Technologies’ unique expertise is a proprietary platform technology which integrates chemically diverse prefabricated nanoparticles into traditional epitaxial semiconductor heterostructures.

Leveraging this unique technology platform, Dot Metrics Technologies is also examining additional commercial areas such as sensors, optical catalysts and solid state lasers.
